Teachers: Reinvent your Careers on August 19th!

On Thursday, August 19, teacher, consultant and facilitator, Marlene Schoenberg, will present a dynamic workshop which will put displaced or retired teachers on the road to using your talents in a new way. The program, called "Reinventing Your Career: Positive Transitions for Teachers", will run from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 at Montclair State University (University Hall Room 203).

This dynamic, half- day career development workshop will re-ignite your professional self-esteem, reframe your teaching skills and help you explore new career options. In a supportive, caring environment, we will discuss difficult work transitions and a guide to help you move through them. Key topics will include: how to apply teaching skills to work places outside the schools, where to find inspiration and motivation, taking care of yourself, developing support systems, using resources, and networking. How can we retool our careers and sharpen our skills for the current work place? How can we appreciate our blessings in disguise?

Through discussion, small group activities, guided imagery, self- reflection and sharing resources, participants will gain insights and motivation to develop an action plan.

You can find the passion, skills and resources to reinvigorate your career.  Join us on this journey for each teacher in transition to create a new roadmap for your professional future.
